Can anyone tell me what is the problem here?And how can i solve it?

I cannot able to host the website on github.

How about it, try creating a repo with your github username and add .github.io to it.
Example: My username is ReplacedSpace17, so my repo should be ReplacedSpace17.github.io
Then make sure that the index.html is there in the root of the repository, now if you activate GitHub Pages, it should work now.

it seems that you are trying to have GitHub Pages hosting ? you can't do private repo to host it on free account, I assume, that's why it's 404
