Hey try opening VS Code, go to accounts check if you are signed into GitHub if you have not signed in make sure you do. Next make sure if u have the GitHub copilot extension is installed, if it's installed make sure to enable it. And restart VS code if its a fresh install. If the issue still occurs try signing out from the GitHub account and signing back in. Let me know if this works brother

Make sure you are signed in to GitHub in VS Code
→ Go to Accounts (bottom left) and check if your GitHub account is connected.

Check if GitHub Copilot Chat extension is installed and enabled
→ Open Extensions (Ctrl + Shift + X)
→ Search for GitHub Copilot Chat
→ Install / Enable it.

Restart VS Code completely.

If it still doesn't work:

Sign out of GitHub in VS Code

Close VS Code

Reopen and sign in again

Then try Chat.

If you're using Codespaces, refresh the Codespace or rebuild it.

This usually fixes the issue.
