linux-after-install

A comprehensive set of configuration scripts to streamline post-installation setup of Kubuntu and other Ubuntu-based distributions. These scripts automate common setup tasks, install essential software, and configure system settings for optimal performance.

Usage

  1. Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/Perf/linux-after-install.git
  1. Make scripts executable:
chmod +x *.sh
  1. Run desired scripts:
./install-common.sh
./install-development.sh
./make-terminal-sexy.sh

Notes

  • Scripts are primarily designed for Kubuntu but should work on most Ubuntu-based distributions
  • Each (almost) installation step is interactive and can be skipped
  • System configuration changes can be customized during installation
  • All scripts include safety checks and error handling
  • Configuration files are provided for various tools and applications
