Hi there 👋

I have been doing investigative journalism by talking to lots of people and reading hundreds of documents for a decade. Since 2021, I have been also learning programming and visualization skills to collaborate with cross-border and data-driven projects. I'm here to share and learn more about coding for journalism and public accountability.

I founded datafixers.org, an investigative and data-driven journalism project sponsored by The Brown Institute for Media Innovation (Columbia and Stanford universities). I'm also a cofounder of the brazilian non-profit Fiquem Sabendo, specialized in public records and data in that country.

Stories I've written helped to save millions in public funds and investigate illegal practices from individuals, companies and governments.

I also coordinate or contribute to multiple projects that improve government transparency in my home country, Brazil, as a means to enhance democratic participation.

I hold a Masters Degree in Public Administration at FGV-EAESP (Sao Paulo/Brazil) and a Master of Science in Data Journalism at Columbia University (New York/USA)
